Early morning study seminar at King’s College, Somerset House
Better late than never, right? I’ve not missed a Snapshots post since I started nearly four years ago, so not even final post-grad exams, a broken arm and a huge deadline at work could defeat me… although they did combine to seriously slow down my blogging and extra-curricular life! Most of my photos come from before April 17th, when I managed to trip on my morning run and fracture my arm… oh the fun. A month in a sling has taught me a bit of patience, but it’s a lesson I could have done without! I still managed to get out and about in April though… here’s what I got up to.
Delicious cocktails in the Underground with Nat at Cahoots
The April blossom in London was just beautiful!
My favourite dairy-free chocolate icecream in London
A gorgeous run at sunrise along the canal
First picnic and BBQ of the year in Highbury Fields with the local crew
More gorgeous blossom, this time in Victoria Park in East London
Most popular Instagram of the month:
The #wisteriahysteria was real – and beautiful
Studying might be rough on a long weekend but my study-buddy made it all ok
Gorgeous Hever Castle, childhood home of Anne Boleyn
Oh yep, that would be a broken arm/shoulder. But in Westminster Palace! Such an incredible tour of the Houses of Parliament with Laura – perfect for two proud politics and history geeks
An epic night ticking Silent Disco off the London Summer List at the London Aquarium
Awesome view of London from Alexandra Palace
A tasty and oh-so-pretty way to end the month at Roka’s Sakura celebration
Now the arm is healing, the exams are over and the work deadline is gone so I’m looking forward to being a little more active around these parts. I’m typing this from Granada in Spain, about to embark on a week-long road trip with my parents and brother, who’ve flown over from New Zealand, and my sister Zoe and her boyfriend, who are living here at the moment. It’s 35C and amazingly beautiful here – follow along on Instagram for all of the sun and fun!
What does June hold for you? And who else has broken bones as an adult?
