Wisteria Hysteria for the start of May
Oh how I love May in the UK – spring shows its pretty face and we have two long weekends to relax, explore or get away. I opted for the last, heading to Italy’s stunning Cinque Terre at the beginning of the month and then sailing Croatia’s beautiful islands with Medsailors at the end of May. In between I enjoyed canal cruising, rocked out to some legends and made the most of the sunshine. Read on to see all my adventures… and some very exciting news!
Cinque Terre was a dream trip for me – and it far exceeded my expectations!

Favourite posts this month:
- 48 Hours in Krakow: although it was too short a time in this fascinating city, here’s what I managed to squeeze in
- 5 Years of Loving London: my anniversary post to this wonderful city
And by now you might be asking, what about the big news? Well, in that anniversary post, it might be possible to detect a hint of nostalgia in my many wonderful memories of this city. I haven’t left yet, but I’m already adjusting to the idea that London won’t be my home forever. That’s right… it’s time for this Kiwi to fly back home to New Zealand! I’ll be posting more about my decision soon, so for now I’ll just say that while I’ll miss London’s energy, history, and wonderful people, I can’t wait to be back in NZ with Joe, amongst my family, with regular beach time, wide open spaces, and all my wonderful friends back there.
In the meantime I have two months left to cram in all the London and Europe fun – and you better believe I’ll be making the most of them!
Have you made the big decision to move overseas… or to move back? What would you try to fit in to two months in your city?
