Can I always start the month in Split, Croatia?! So gorgeous
To say that the days are flying by would be an understatement – summer in London is always jam-packed with fun but when you’re trying to make the most of it before you head to the other side of the world it’s even more so! We managed to fit in some local trips to June before Joe headed back to New Zealand, and since then I’ve been visiting some of my favourite spots and squeezing in a few new favourites too.
First stop, Parklife music festival – where the rubbish made me sad and we wore approx 80% more clothing than the locals!
Lorde, one of NZ’s biggest exports, on the BIG stage in Parklife – amazing
Then we started our road-trip – first stop, gorgeous Lake Windermere in England’s Lake District
Being a history nerd I had to see Hadrian’s Wall – we visited the fascinating Birdoswald Roman Fort
And then on to Scotland and beautiful Loch Lomond
Driving beautiful Glen Coe was a highlight
As was seeing Eilean Donan Castle on the way to Skye
Before heading back to London and stopping to smell the beautiful Queen Mary’s roses in Regent’s Park
Beyoncé and Jay-Z in concert… phenomenal
Just two dudes… Flight of the Conchords casually selling out the O2
Stunning sunset view of London from the Rooftop Cinema club (saw Spice World, still amazing)
Some of our gang ready for the Ascot races
Saying hi to the Queen pre-races
June’s Most Popular Instagram
When the London heatwave hits – take to the pool! Preferably the awesome London Fields Lido
Finally touring the beautiful grounds of Lambeth Palace

Genuinely not surprised it took me this long to pull together my June snapshots – after a month like that I needed a break! Instead I got an insanely busy work month, and another flat move… I’m now down to 2.5 suitcases and just over 3 weeks til the big flights home to New Zealand. The only question is, how much London fun can I squeeze in before then?!
How’s your summer going? Or winter for my southern Hemisphere crew!
