Stunning setting for lunch with friends in Auckland
February may be a short month but it feels like I still packed a fair bit in – I guess flying from one side of the globe to the other and starting a new job will do that for you! I started the month in sunny Auckland, catching up with friends and attending the beautiful wedding of my best school friend Helen. Sadly shortly after it was time to farewell the family and return to chilly London! I took advantage of my week off to recover from jet lag with a bit of London touristing, and since then I’ve been quite immersed in my new job. Of course I’ve made time for delicious brunches and some excursions too!
I had an awesome day at the cricket with my Dad watching the Black Caps thrash the Australians
And had a lovely day exploring the Cascades with my mum
Spent the day giggling at the super-fun wedding of this gorgeous girl
My last evening in NZ – of course had to be at the beach looking at Rangitoto Island
Back in London it was chilly
So I warmed myself up with ramen from Kanada-Ya… totally worth the hype
I explored some seriously gorgeous London mews
And had a fab Kiwi bloggers catch-up at Ozone. THIS ^^. INCREDIBLE.

The view on my new commute can be pretty great
My staycation in Farringdon meant lots of exploring the area and discoveries like these gorgeous cloister gardens
The Chinese Magic Lantern Festival in Chiswick was so cute
Still thinking about this incredible tapas at Morito in Exmouth Market

- A Wild New Year’s Eve at Wenderholm: I spent the New Year’s Eve break camping with friends near a gorgeous beach, just like before I left New Zealand, and had a blast

While it’s been fun adjusting back to London life and the multiple warm layers involved, I’m pretty ready for spring now. First I’ve got one more month to tick off my London Winter Cool List – so no hibernation for me! I’m also off to Porto over Easter and am very excited to take photos of all the pretty tiles and drink lots of delicious port. Any recommendations, food or otherwise, let me know!
