Christchurch has been through so much. The devastating effects of the huge earthquakes that ripped up the town, and more recently the trauma caused by a white terrorist in the city’s mosques. But the city has an energy, and a sense of purpose found. Spending two weeks there for work, plus some regular visits to see my awesome friends, have allowed me to experience the city’s energy through its street art, and delicious food!

A new destination, a reunion with my sister and her boyfriend and a Christmas market visit… Oslo promised to be a city-break to remember! While chilly temperatures and grim weather on the Saturday meant we didn’t cram in quite as many activities as I would normally, we still managed to check out some of the city’s notable sights and some amazing street art. Street Art in Seville
I was blown away by Seville’s beautiful architecture, tasty tapas, and history – of which more soon. But on our wanderings I wasn’t expecting to discover a huge car park covered in different fascinating street art pieces. The scale and variety was stunning! Here’s some of my favourite pieces, plus a few others that we found while staying in this gorgeous city.
Street Art In Reykjavik
When I pictured Iceland in early spring, I could imagine the icy spray of Gulfoss, the chilly azure of the Blue Lagoon, and the unremitting black of the southern beaches. But what surprised me were the beautiful splashes of colour everywhere and particularly in Reykjavik. The view from above was rainbow-hued, and there were patches of street art everywhere.
