Ahh summer time – isn’t it just the best? Nothing makes me happier than being out enjoying the sun and fresh air – preferably by a beach. Luckily August has supplied quite a bit of that, with trips to Mallorca and the Scottish Highlands at either end. And it’s not over yet – this is a slightly early Snapshots post as right now I’m winging my way to Dubrovnik for another dose of Vitamin Sea and D!
August got off to a good start, celebrating a friend’s 30th in sunny Mallorca. (Almost) private cove life – pretty great!

It was a grey but very exciting flight back into London right over the city!
I finally made my way down to Peckham to the super-cool Frank’s Bar, in a roof-top carpark overlooking the city and perfectly positioned to capture epic sunsets like this one!
One of the best things I ate this month – this prawn and avocado burger from Broadway Market
It hasn’t been all sunshine in London – this ice-cream truck wasn’t doing too well this rainy lunchtime
But when it is sunny, it’s magic!
The best part about Sunday rambles in the countryside might just be the gorgeous pubs!
A lunch catchup with Amy and the Great World at the beautiful Leadenhall Market in the City
More delicious food at Comensal in Clapham
OH YES – I saw Benedict Cumberbatch play Hamlet, and he was glorious. All up this was one of the best Shakespeare productions I’ve ever seen!
I hiked up Cairn Gorm, the sixth highest mountain in the UK, for these incredible Scottish Highlands views
I fell in love with the Highlands and am already plotting a return!

Coming up in September, my main trip is five days in Ibiza – I’m very excited to see the party island for myself. Also on my list for gigs are the Foo Fighters, who I had to see after Dave Grohl’s leg fracture meant they cancelled their Glastonbury appearance. They’re one of my favourite bands and are always epic live! I’m planning on having a nosey around the City thanks to Open House London, where hundreds of buildings open their doors to the public for just a weekend. And of course I am super excited for the start of the Rugby World Cup – go All Blacks!
