July already feels like a lifetime ago. It’s always a wintry, rainy month in Auckland, but we managed to escape for our first dose of domestic tourism since lockdown – and it was glorious!
Checking out the delicious eats at Jose’s Cantina in Birkenhead
Unusual angles up at the Auckland High Court
Misleading signs of spring by my driveway
It’s a mood (and also art)
The highlight of July was definitely our getaway to the beautiful Castaways resort at Kariotahi beach. These views were the best part for sure! It was only a short drive from Auckland, but a total escape. We stayed in our own villa overlooking the beach, which was absolute bliss.
July’s most popular Insta post:
We did a lot of lying on couches, watching the waves roll in over a good book. But we also explored the gorgeous Awhitu Peninsula. This perfect little lighthouse sits right on the northern edge!
Nearly getting blown away from the top of the lighthouse!
Storm-tossed beaches and stunning sunrises… such a good way to start the morning
Cheers! Double-parked midway through the NZ Content Collective Margarita Masterclass at Mexico – so so much fun!
I’m glad we got some adventures and social times in for July – little did we know we’d be back in lockdown again within weeks!
Hope you’re staying safe and well. What does the change of season bring for you?
